New Roku Sighted, Remains The Same

Roku is getting inspiration from Apple in naming their devices as the company drops the 2 on their latest product and is now simply called Roku HD. We did a comparison featuring the Roku 2 XS and Apple TV a while ago and favored the latter for being usable on non-HDMI televisions. Good thing that Roku decided to keep that feature intact although the Bluetooth connectivity and microSD slot have been ditched.

The New Roku HD will offer 720p streaming at a price of $50. The device is not at Amazon yet nor at the company’s official website but it is expected to hit stores in a few days. While you’re waiting, check out the older Roku 2 XS:
